Jessica Manns is a clinical embryologist and published author with expertise in reproductive science. Holding a Bachelor of Natural Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Biomedical Science from Colorado State University, she has been practicing in the field since 2018. Jessica is a veteran of the Army National Guard and applies a disciplined approach to clinical innovation. Early in her career, she contributed to the development of a novel, more efficient embryo thawing protocol that is currently being implemented in IVF laboratories worldwide. In 2025, Influential Women recognized Jessica as one of today’s most inspiring and accomplished professional women.

In 2022, Jessica founded the Instagram platform @ExplainingIVF, which provides vital education and support resources to over 45,000 followers. Expanding her outreach further, Jessica is the author of the book The Trying Time, published by Bloomsbury in December 2025. She has appeared on numerous podcasts and written many educational articles about topics related to infertility and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Jessica lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with her husband, daughter, and dog.”
